Matthew's entrepreneurship started in 2001 when he opened up a mid-sized health club in West Bridgewater, MA. At only 21 years old, he was running operations, marketing, sales, and financials. After several years and more experience, Matthew knew that he wanted to expand. He had a passion for the business and saw potential and opportunity as the health club industry began to trend towards hyper growth. He went on to be a key player in building the personal programs at the Blast Fitness Chain, which grew to approximately 60 health clubs at its peak. He soared through the ranks at Blast Fitness and spent a majority of his career with the company as Regional Vice President, where he oversaw the majority of the clubs nationally for about 5 years. He led a team of 6 Regional Managers, 40 Fitness Directors, and hundreds of trainers. Over those years, Matthew mastered the skills of building systems, how to implement objective strategies, the development and deployment of human capital across the country, remote managing, strong leadership, and team building. These are the exact skills needed to rapidly grow a successful health club company that Fit Factory has already been proven to be in the Massachusetts marketplace with its two operating clubs, and the next two already under construction and planned to be open mid-year of 2017.
