Campaign Coordinator for Coleman 2014. Successfully managed a marquee State Senate reelection primary campaign in a Democrat party-dominated district. Served as lead press officer, field strategist, canvass director, staff manager, volunteer coordinator, direct mail copy writer, absentee ballot coordinator and scheduler, among other roles. Designed and implemented a fundraising plan to ensure the campaign met funding thresholds for CT's Citizens Election Program.

Monitored and impacted legislation in the Connecticut General Assembly on behalf of more than a dozen non-profits, medical professional organizations, and business organizations. In conjunction with clients and issue partners, identified legislative objectives and develop strategies and messaging to meet desired outcomes. Maintained communications with client portfolio leaders, including triage of newly submitted legislation, consultation on important decision points, and day-to-day legislative activity. Maintained top-level communication with client boards and executive directors, including on-site briefings. Monitored health reform implementation, including the health insurance exchange, state innovation model, all payer claims database, and changes in Medicaid. Provided legislative advocacy training for clients’ grassroots persuasion efforts, including both online and on-site training sessions with client personnel. Wrote, edited and otherwise prepared testimony on behalf of clients for the purpose of public hearings. Designed issue-related collateral materials for clients as needed. Managed all of the firm's website content, and trained clients on web applications for legislative tracking.

Initial creative on political campaign literature, mailing, and mass communications strategy for several Democratic state senate and state representative general election campaigns, including copy and design.Strategic lead on field operations for winning Democratic state senate and state representative primary campaigns.

Executive Assistant assigned to the Public Safety Dispatch Consolidation (PSDC) Project.The PSDC project is an undertaking by the CT State Police to consolidate their 12 public safety answering points, thereby improving public safety, returning Troopers to law enforcement roles, providing greater career advancement opportunities for dispatchers, and meeting budgetary requirements.As Executive Assistant assigned to this project, I have worked with the team--comprised of 911 professionals, sworn personnel, dispatchers and outside subject matter experts--to develop a pilot consolidation at three troops, overcoming complex technical, operational, and human resource challenges.I reported directly to the Col. of the State Police and Deputy Commissioner of DESPP, Danny Stebbins.

Served as Deputy Director of SEIU’s independent urban voter turnout efforts in the 2010 general election campaign. Directly oversaw the daily activities of 25 team members in Bridgeport and assisted in the management of 25 other team members in Hartford. Developed and executed a field program which targeted tens of thousands of Democratic and Independent voters in most of Connecticut's largest cities.

Coordinated late-stage primary campaign efforts in Bridgeport, CT. Oversaw day-to-day activities inside Stamford, CT headquarters including intern assignments, volunteer activities, and other campaign prerogatives. Managed established relationships with key political supporters in three Congressional Districts. Provided support to Congressional District Field Organizers.

First hire on the first competitive exploratory committee for Governor under Connecticut’s landmark public financing system for campaigns. Coordinated fundraising efforts for first two full fundraising quarters, out-raising main competitors. Performed all political outreach on behalf of the committee with an eye toward the 2010 Democratic State Convention, targeting delegates and progressive opinion leaders. Performed the role of driver and body man for the candidate seven days a week. Coordinated all field activities at public events, rallies, debates, announcements, etc.

Contributed to record-setting fundraising efforts in CT’s Second Congressional District during a nationally targeted race. Managed candidate's in state call time. Recruited hosts, secured locations, built committees, and organized logistics for more than 70 fundraising events. Prepared and screened reports for the Campaign Treasurer before filing with the Federal Elections Commission. Served as bodyman to the candidate as needed during campaign activity.

Managed day to day committee operations including coordination of staff, monitoring of and adherence to deadlines, preparation of relevant documents, and handling committee meeting logistics. Served as liaison between lobbyists, public, and committee chairs. Completed other tasks assigned by the Senate Democratic Caucus and Committee Co-Chairs.

Contributed to the reelection of a public official by working with the Campaign Manager to execute the day to day operation of a state-wide campaign. Duties included assisting with fundraising efforts and coordinating field activities with political organizations throughout Connecticut.

Assisted in the strategic execution of a state-wide Democratic primary campaign across 65 towns in eastern Connecticut. Directly responsible for the implementation of that strategy in 18 towns. Collaborated with state and local elected officials and activists to design tailored strategies where appropriate. Managed campaign activities including volunteer operations from a regional headquarters. Consulted in the selection of additional staff members.

Monitored docketing in several Federal civil proceedings. Developed and standardized electronic case file practices for RICO staff. Trained all office support staff on Electronic Case Filing (ECF) software for matters before the U.S. District and Bankruptcy Courts of the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
