Grant Advisor working within the Partnership Drugs Initiative (PDI) Team. I’m primarily responsible for The Challenge Fund; supporting innovative projects that increase access to drug and alcohol support.

Manager of Positive Help, a well established Edinburgh-based charity providing practical support to people affected by HIV and Hepatitis C.Through my role I am responsible for the financial management of the organisation, developing and implementing the strategic vision and ensuring the smooth running of services. Our team comprises four staff members and 50 volunteers, all of whom are talented individuals, dedicated to the ongoing success of the Company.

Chairman of the Board of Directors responsible for ensuring Gay men's Health is effectively and properly run.Involved in writing the current strategic plan, key policies and budgets. Also involved in staff recruitment and HR issues.

Co-ordination of the Scottish division of OASIS (www.oasisonline.co.uk), a groundbreaking international project examining the efficacy of internet based support for alcohol and cocaine users. The OASIS website provides an online evaluation and self-help tool designed to aid alcohol and cocaine users regain control of their substance use. www.oasisonline.co.ukResponsible for the design, implementation, marketing and evaluation of this project.

Coordinating Crew's outreach activity including work at festivals, clubs and schools. Arranging appropriate services at each ranging from basic drugs information to crisis intervention support.In addition to this I was responsible for recruiting, training and supporting volunteers to work in a variety of roles within the organisation..During this period I was also responsible for planning and delivering training sessions both inside the organisation and externally.

Working directly with young people in nightlife settings to provide drug information, advice and immediate support. Design and delivery of drugs information training to both professionals and young people.

Working as part of the Edinburgh Branch team responsible for addressing customer enquiries and recruiting new account holders.

Involved in the formation and delivery of this new health promotion project designed to provide members of a detached community with health information and resources.
