I am a junior studying Accounting and Business Analytics at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University Bloomington. I am interested in this field because it fosters cooperation amongst employees, and this is something I show much passion for. I have many experiences showcasing this passion, especially the summer after my sophomore year at IU, where I completed an audit internship with Blue and Co, LLC. Due to my fast-paced gathering of concepts, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate with others in unfamiliar settings, I was able to get a strong grasp of auditing principles at play for companies implementing 401k benefit plans to their employees.At Indiana University, I actively look for opportunities to expand my personal and professional career. I enrolled in honors courses and joined numerous student organizations to grow my career knowledge. As member of Balance at Kelley, I work to advocate for student and faculty mental health awareness. Additionally, as member of the Indiana University Student Foundation, I act to foster university spirit amongst all current and former members of IU, primarily through the planning of the annual Little 500 cycling competition. To further development my career experience and knowledge, I plan to work towards acquiring a summer internship in accounting, primarily audit, in the future. I ultimately see myself acquiring a license as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and work directly to assess the financial implications of businesses and other clients looking to accumulate wealth and maximize their earnings potential.
