• Manage Business Operations of the practice through strong collaborative partnerships with Penn Dental Medicine and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia leaders and staff. Manage performance of the practice, with strong emphasis on revenue growth, revenue/expense leverage and asset/people management. Create a vision and goals and motivate team to achieve them through communication. Understand and leverage organization’s structure and relationships.• Proactively lead accurate and effective coordination, scheduling and organization of all scheduling for pediatric staff, residents, students and attending faculty at the clinic, sedation suite, and hospital operating room. Manage all front and back office operations ensuring customer satisfaction and sustainable practices. Set clear goals and expectations for all; provide regular feedback; proactively address performance issues; foster learning and development; provide recognition.• Select, recruit, train, and motivate employees as well as managing performance, and executing strategic operations plans. Inspire and coach employees on accomplishing strategic and operational goals. Ensure practice is aligned with Penn Dental Medicine’s strategic objectives.• Oversee management of insurance claims, processes and collections for patient billing. • Ensure compliance for all infection control and OSHA regulations. Responsible for accurate inventory management at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and Penn Dental Medicine.• Build customer understanding by monitoring patient satisfaction performance and customer feedback.• Ensure practice’s policies, procedures, and processes are in compliance with Penn Dental Medicine protocols, state and federal law, regulations, and accreditation guidelines. • Supervise nine direct reports, ensure proper clinical coverage and operational compliance from these reports in addition to twenty-three attending faculty members.

• Manage Primary Care Units (PCU) as a Practice Administrator; coordinate multipledental management programs for assigned PCUs, interfacing with patients, students,and faculty to ensure smooth daily clinical operations.• Resolve patient, student, and faculty issues as they arise. Communicate with GroupLeaders, Central Registration, Clinical Affairs, and Patient Advocate as necessaryrelative to these issues.• Coordinate patient care by ensuring that medical clearance and compliance is up todate, continuing care is current, and all patients leave with their next appointmentscheduled.• Assist Group Leaders in assignment and distribution of patients and procedures toensure optimal student progress toward achieving clinical competency and experience.• Supervise freshman students on assigned Practice Management rotation.• Coordinate assignment of first and second year students on Dental Auxiliary UnitRotation.• Mentor and assist in the training of fellow coordinators, attend meetings regarding bothadministrative and clinical protocols.• Conduct chart reviews with third and fourth year dental students every 4-8 weeks,compile student progress, and report status to Group Leaders and AdministrativeDirectors.• Conduct training seminars with second year and PASS students to familiarize themwith patient charts, charting procedures, chart documentation, and patientmanagement.• Member of Dentrix to Axium transition team. Tasked with software research andcreation of training modules for PCU Coordinators and undergraduate students.• Assist in the preparation and administration of ADEX licensing exam, includingassigning the second year class duties for assisting during the exam, organizing andregistering candidate assistants, translators, and patients.
