I am a current Senior at the University of Maryland pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance. Previously, I graduated from Howard Community College magna cum laude with an associate's degree in general studies. In my latest role as a Compliance and Bank Secrecy Act Intern at SECU Credit Union, I ensured adherence to critical federal and state regulations, including the Bank Secrecy Act and Anti-Money Laundering policies. My responsibilities involved investigating potentially fraudulent activities, preparing Suspicious Activity Reports, and monitoring transactions to prevent breaches. Additionally, I played a key role in readying SECU to meet compliance requirements set forth by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in anticipation of SECU’s expansion to over $10 billion in assets under management. Outside of the classroom, I am an active member of Phi Chi Theta's Alpha Mu chapter here at the University of Maryland.
