I assisted in conducting a human resources needs analysis on the aerospace industry in Ontario. I worked on a project commissioned by the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities and endorsed by Centennial College, the Ontario Aerospace Council, and the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada. I conducted telephone interviews with Senior Managers and CEO’s of aerospace companies, assisting in the development of a survey instrument, and consulted on methods. I worked on a project commissioned by the Ministry of Training Colleges and Universities and endorsed by Centennial College, the Ontario Aerospace Council, and the Aerospace Industries Association of Canada. I conducted telephone interviews with Senior Managers and CEO’s of aerospace companies, assisting in the development of a survey instrument, and consulted on methods. I also worked on a project commissioned by the Canadian Apprenticeship Forum addressing the challenges that new technologies create for skilled-trades workers in New Brunswick. This project required me to complete interviews in English and French with a variety of people knowledgeable about the Canadian Apprenticeship System. The goal of this project was to provide recommendations to the apprenticeship board about how to address the challenges of integrating new technologies in the apprenticeship system. Show less

Served as a peer reviewer of articles on the subject of transit crime for a special edition of the security journal.

Conducted research on: “The effects of post-secondary drug education”. Analyzed qualitative, and quantitative data on drugs. Successfully defended before a cross-disciplinary team from the faculties of Health and the Social Sciences including an adviser in Italy. Presented findings at various conferences and as a guest lecturer to 4th year undergraduate students.

Managed a team of horticulture technicians during the summer months. Responsible for site safety, delivery of service, and managing the needs of clients.

As a student intern at the Ministry of the Attorney General I was tasked with helping to ensure the function of the courts in the court services division by assisting with organization of files, and the preparation of necessary dockets for court proceedings. I worked with other members of the court services division in order to facilitate the functioning of the judicial branch.

As a Crime Analyst I was able to hone my research skills in the workplace environment. I assisted with data preparation and dissemination as part of my daily work. In addition to this function I prepared research on current policing practices and shared this with my colleagues. I also worked with the Youth in Policing program and assisted with facilitating some of their programs.
