I am a Mechanical Engineering Ph.D. student and a Bush Combat Development Complex fellow in the Optical Diagnostics and Imaging Lab at Texas A&M Univerity, advised by Dr. Waruna Kulatilaka, AIAA Associate Fellow, ASME Fellow, and Senior Member of OSA. My research focuses on the development of novel ultrafast laser diagnostics for high-pressure combustion, hypersonic flows, and other harsh environemnts including dust explosions and plasma discharges.I have experience with fs and ns laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) including planar-LIF (PLIF) and two-photon-LIF (TPLIF), thermometry, high-speed spectroscopy, high-magnification imaging, lab scale burner design, and chemiluminescence imaging. I have employed these techniques for hydrocarbon combustion diagnostics and ammonia-combustion diagnostics in an effort to reduce carbon emissions. My research has been published in The Proceedings of the Combustion Institute, AIAA Journal, and Experimental Fluids.

Assisted in the development and implementation of a high-pressure burner facility at Texas A&M by creating P&ID diagrams, writing a standard operating procedure, and by conducting a safety analysis. I help run various laser-induced fluorescence and chemiluminescence experiments. I was able to publish a conference paper for the Central States Section of the Combustion Institute Spring 2020 Technical Meeting on our chemiluminescence work.
