Operation Canadian Crude Project, Whiting, IN.Worked on the Whiting Sulfur Recovery Complex. Project scope included conceptual design and detailed design of amine stripping units, sour water stripping units, sulfur recovery units, tail gas treatment units, tail gas regeneration unit, and sulfur degassing units. Areas of responsibility include general utility distribution, sulfur recovery (Super Claus) process, and tail gas (SCOT) process. Gained valuable field experience through multiple visits to BP Whiting, IN refinery to plan conceptual design, to identify tie-in points, and to research replacement of equipment in the existing sulfur recovery units (SRU.)

Completed Phase 4 (detailed design) work. Provided process data for instrumentation data sheets. Completed inter-squad checks for instrumentation and piping isometric drawings. Scope included heat and material balance, hydraulic study, block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams, P&ID's, preliminary line list, tie-in list, and equipment list. Made field visits to verify new equipment arrangement.
