DESCRIPTIONAlong with many other tasks, I provided direct patient care, including assessment, monitoring, and medication administration for psychiatric patients. One of my key assignments in this role is to participate in multidisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and treatment planning meetings to coordinate care. I am tasked with facilitating admission and discharge procedures for patients, encompassing tasks such as receiving reports from discharge facilities, evaluating the appropriateness of admission with the charge nurse and admitting provider, conducting interviews and assessments of patients' current mental/physical health, reviewing medical history and medications, inspecting belongings for discharge and admission, developing a comprehensive care plan for admission, and completing all relevant admission and discharge documentation.My top achievements within this role are the following:• Established a healing environment via therapeutic groups, medication management, and coping strategy instruction.• Developed recognition/understanding of major mental health disorders found in clinical settings, as well as appropriate interpersonal interaction/brief therapy and medication treatment for these disorders.• Learned numerous specific skills for providing care in the Allina Psych unit and precepted new employees into those skills for more than a year.• Developed close and friendly relationships with all staff worked with regularly, and has often received compliments from patients on the high quality of care provided.• Received evaluation of Exceeded Expectations for the past four years from the manager (highest available evaluation).

During this time period, I devised and executed individualized care plans in line with each patient's unique needs and abilities.
