Key Responsibilities• Oversight and responsibility for all Geological functions at the Ballarat Gold Mine.• Oversight and responsibility for regional exploration projects including the Chewton and Tarnagulla Goldfields (2014 – 2017). • Ensuring that all Geology and drilling staff got home safely at the end of each shift with a focus on a pro-active workplace safety culture and strict adherence to procedures and risk assessments.• Resource Estimation and reporting including signing off on the Mines Resources as a Competent Person in compliance with the JORC code 2012. • Weekly and monthly reporting of geological activities for management and the LionGold Board based in Singapore.• Familiarity with SGX and ASX listing rules and the JORC code. • Human resource management including recruitment, rostering, team building, conflict resolution, performance management and redundancies. • Contract negotiations and management, facilitating tenders and negotiating terms for contracts worth approximately $8M annually. • Budgeting and financial reporting, including forecasts of expenditure, and monitoring of financial progress. • Life of mine planning, including forecasts of Mineral Resource depletion and addition• Mentoring and training of staff across all levels of the geology team• Scheduling and setting goals and priorities for the geology team• When scheduled, took responsibility for the mines “On call” duty managers phone.• Developing relationships with key stakeholders, this included government agencies, potential investors, geologists at similar mines and members of the local community
