My name is Matthew Hettich, a student at the University of North Dakota. I am pursuing a B.S. of Aeronautics with a major in Commercial Aviation and concentrations in Business Aviation and Aviation Safety.From being passionate, determined, and an achiever, I will be the best employee your company has ever seen. I grew up in a small town in South Dakota. I've been fortunate to have been a part of genuine opportunities and experiences. In high school, I was a multi-sport athlete while excelling in the classroom. I graduated top of my class as valedictorian while maintaining the varsity leadership expectations on the fielding honoring All-State and All-Conference awards. In addition to furthering my education, I applied and recieved three letters of congressional nominations to attend the United States Air Force Academy from the 2021 USAFA South Dakota Congressional Representative Committees. Outside of the classroom, I let my creativity and desire to learn new skills run free. Over the years, I have found a love for outdoor activities and construction projects.Not only have I left a mark as a student-athlete, but I have also painted the expectations in the workforce. I've worked in the aviation industry for almost half a decade, hands-on construction for over a decade, and part-time family business manager for three years. I have volunteered for numerous school beautification projects and classroom presentations. Upon coming to the University of North Dakota, I decided to challenge myself and become Vice President of the Aviation Education Student Outreach Program, who aims to inspire the next generation of aviation professionals. I strive to better the world by giving back and doing the things I love.Why do I share this with you? I share this with you to demonstrate how committed and passionate I am in everything I do. I share this to show that through thick and thin I never back down. I am reliable and adaptable. I have a life-long dream of chasing success and happiness.
