Overview- Negotiate contract terms/agreements, respond to customer inquiries/concerns, and resolve service complaints by expediting products/services.- Quote products and services for new and existing clients.- Review documents, such as production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine personnel or material requirements needed to sustain various levels of production outputs. - Source/Purchase indirect materials and services, fixed assets and tooling, and production materials/services.Inventory Management- Maintain inventories of all materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands. This includes scheduling/monitoring approximately 8,000 individual parts being manufactured each month.- Coordinate the planning of recent schedules and inventory control parameters for the assigned products and services consistent with MAPICS requirements.Supply Management- Secure and analyze quotations, negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, and select suppliers with respect to cost, quality and price competitiveness for various manufacturing applications.- Evaluate market prices and trends, engineering developments, and manufacturing method improvements applicable to assigned responsibilities; advises company activities with concurrence of Purchasing Director and Management.Estimating- Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.- Review material and labor requirements, to determine cost effectiveness between product purchasing or internal production of various components/parts.- Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.Logistics- Collaborate with the customer to determine warehouse allocations for all manufactured products, and verify all shipping dates/quantities needed for various customer needs throughout the United States.
