As QA Manager and Scrum Lead, I was responsible for baking quality into our agile process and CI environment. I was part QA Manager, QA Engineer, scrum lead and build and release manager. Wearing many different hats I was involved in all facets of our projects from sprint planning to deployment and maintenance.

Responsibilities: At mywedding.com I was responsible for ensuring the stability and quality of all areas of the web application through both manual and automated testing. Also responsible for deployments to QA environments and eventually production, I assisted in implementing and maintaining continuous integration and continuous deployment builds in Jenkins.I also implemented a functional and regression test framework for our REST API using REST-assured with JUnit and Java.What I've learned and Accomplishments: At mywedding I grew my technical skill set while also moving QA forward in an agile environment. As a part of the REST API functional test framework, I implemented a build pipeline that allowed us to run the unit and functional tests immediately following each commit that determines good builds from bad, and also let us deploy the latest validated build straight from Jenkins. Client: Scottrade, IncResponsibilities: At Orasi Software, I conducted manual testing of client applications through HP Quality Center and Application Lifecycle Management. At this position I constructed test plans and test cases from business and technical requirements provided by the client. I worked with client developers and project management to perform smoke, functional, and regression testing of AS400, web and desktop trading applications as a part of the end-to-end QA process. I was involved in both Agile and Waterfall product development methodologies as a tester and consulting project lead. As team lead, I was also responsible for conducting manual test case reviews to provide feedback to our team while also maintaining communication with the client leads and providing metrics reports on a daily and weekly basis.What I Learned:At Orasi I learned the QA process, including test case design, ensuring requirements coverage, test execution and defect reporting. I also expanded my leadership and communication skills while working with project managers, developers and QA leads both at Scottrade and Orasi. Responsibilities:As Editor-in-Chief of The Carolinian, I hired and supervised the Editorial Board and reporting staff of over 50. At this position, I led the production of the weekly issue by developing and monitoring weekly budgets and deadlines. I handled personnel matters, reporting and story assignments, newspaper design and final copy editing. I also managed our business relationship with our printing company. What I Learned:At this position I learned how to lead by example, while allowing our editors and columnists the freedom of creativity in their reporting, photography and design. Founded on mutual trust, this fostered a team environment that allowed our leadership to increase the newspaper's exposure, readership, and reputation in the campus community. As Sports Editor, I re-developed a strong relationship with the Athletics Department while reporting objectively on events and issues surrounding the organization. Responsibilities:At W.G Tomko, I helped produce a sales tax reassessment and refund project for 3 tax periods that was eventually submitted to the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue. Over 3 summers and 2 winter breaks, this project required me to research Pennsylvania tax law in regards to large scale plumbing and HVAC construction jobs and apply my knowledge to the project. I created spreadsheets outlining non-taxable line items from company invoices that guided my supervisors working on the project with the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.What I Learned:At this position I learned the importance of working independently in a corporate environment while also providing clear communication and feedback to executives and superiors.
