I was employed as a Accounts Manager for Barclaycard Commercial. My role involved assisting customers with both their credit and charge cards. This required accepting payments, assisting those who require financial support, completing income and expenditures, resolving complaints among other duties.

I was involved in the implementation of new dialler software on our department. This would involve testing the new software and providing feedback to both the change and dialler team. I subsequently went on to create a powerpoint presentation and offered side by side coaching providing instructions to colleagues how to use the new software.

Throughout summer 16 I gained work experience through KMI Plus at the Ash Lane, Widness site. United Utilities required the commissioning of a storm water detention tank to upgrade the quality of water being released into rivers and tackling imbalances in the water network. My experience on site proved invaluable as it allowed me to put into practice what I have learnt from my HNC but also learn new aspects of Civil Engineering which I applied in my second year of my degree.

Prior to starting Civil Engineering at Liverpool John Moores University, I shadowed a Civil and Structural Asset Manager at Peel Ports. My time at Peel Ports gave me a good insight into the day to day role of a Civil Engineer and what will be expected of me upon completion of my degree.
