About Matthew Jarboe
I am a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and CPA with Fortune 500 (GE Capital) and private equity experience (Bridgewater Associates; Fifteen Group Capital) and a deep focus on the commercial real estate sector. My areas of expertise include financial, accounting, and treasury operations, transactional support (debt financing/refinancing, asset acquisitions/dispositions, and business acquisitions/dispositions), corporate insurance (property, general liability, professional liability, and environmental), HR, and information technology. I began my career at Deloitte and progressed into a director role at META/Gartner, where I developed expertise in SEC filings. From there, I spent the next 14 years advancing across a variety of senior leadership and two CFO roles for GE Capital in its commercial real estate segment. At GE, I handled billions of dollars of transaction activity, including acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, and complete business segment dissolutions.Subsequently, I joined Bridgewater Associates, the largest hedge fund in the world, as its CFO for the real estate and facilities portfolio where I was part of a back-office lift-out to an external service provider, the first of its kind in the industry. Following my tenure at Bridgewater, I joined Genpact (NYSE: G), serving as the lead client service partner for a marquee client in the hedge fund industry. At Genpact, I managed the delivery of the finance and accounting functions and led the complete offshoring of the delivery model to India. Most recently, I served as the CFO for Fifteen Group Capital, a real estate investment firm focused on bringing institutional capital to a wide range of commercial and mixed-use real estate. I thrive on building, empowering, and coaching teams, as well as leading with empathy. In each of my roles, I have always championed my team members to be promoted into larger, more complex and challenging roles. My leadership philosophy is to be inclusive, to listen, and to learn.
