Matthew is a driven individual who enjoys working in groups and helping others around him.Training originally in the IT field and starting work in that area I was drawn over to the music side of things which my father had worked in for many years as a businessman and performer. Through this work I found I had a talent for repairing things and set about learning through others the crafts of repairing instruments, over the years building my knowledge more and more.After a while I learnt the business side of things becoming the manager for my families retail business which specialized in vintage guitars and equipment. Through this I learned more about operating a store and accounting as well as important customer service/experiences. This tied in well with my enjoyment of helping others, it was less about making a sale and more about putting the right instrument in the right persons hand and them being happy with it.As time when on people would purposely seek the shop and myself out for setups and repairs knowing the standard of work and friendliness they would receive.I took over as owner of the business in 2013 when my father passed away. Running it until 2018 where due to changes in the economy and the building I rented for the store I decided to close. Moving my business over to purely repairs servicing and setup work. I now find this works best for all parties as I can be more relaxed with the times I deal with clients and this in turn allows me to work better to the times I have not having to work between running the store and the repairs.In my free time I enjoy the theater and generally spending time outside or anything that keeps me active. I really love entertainment of all types from seeing a musical to watching a comedy show.
