Matthew K began his career as a game marketer in 2007 and has spent the last 15 years working in the Korean esports industry. From 2011 to 2015, he worked for the Korea Esports Association. He managed the StarCraft Proleague and the Jin Air Greenwings team. Jin Air Greenwings is a StarCraft Proleague team with the alias '8th Team.' Matthew oversaw a variety of activities, including the expansion of the team as a League of Legends team in 2013 and its acquisition by Jin Air.He joined AzubuTV in 2015 as an account manager, where he managed the streaming rights of every team in the current lck league. In 2017, he began writing for erdc.kr after taking a year off to recharge his batteries. He spent two years as a project manager for the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism's Esports Hall of Fame construction project in 2018. He is currently a senior public relations manager at Bigpicture Interactive, the creator of the Tournament Platform Lvup.gg.He also worked as a researcher on the Korea Creative Content Agency's esports business model study. He advises and judges on the agency's various esports projects. In 2021, he worked as an adjunct professor in the esports major at Hansung University's Design Art Education Center. He also manages the Esports Archive Facebook group (https://www.facebook.com/groups/erdc.archive), the country's largest esports industry community, and organizes the Gamers Meetup, an esports industry conference.
