Explosive design engineer responsible for research and development of shape charges used in perforating systems. Duties include the design, prototyping, testing and production release of explosive charges, components and the systems that house them. I worked hands-on projects from cradle to grave, conducting all aspects of the design process. Experience working with customers to troubleshoot field, and system issues. I organized and conducted qualification, and investigative tests. I introduced a new explosive sensitivity testing capability to Halliburton’s Jet Research Center. I worked through Halliburton’s risk assessment process for introducing new processes and equipment on site. I developed a procedure to implement this testing into the facility’s explosive quality control program. Assumed addition liaison responsibility between customer, design and support groups to facilitate personnel restructuring during business downturn.
