Responsible for advising a wholesale pharmaceutical distributor on a wide variety of legal matters. Negotiate supply agreements with drug manufacturers and prime vendor agreements with group purchasing organizations. Manage the compliance function for all applicable licensing requirements. Educated twenty students on lawyering skills including legal writing, research, appellate advocacy, and negotiation. Coordinated with the Director of Lawyering Skills and two other adjunct professors to maintain consistency in lesson plans among the class sections.

Advised eight state court judges on a variety of legal matters including employment discrimination, insurance disputes, personal injury, and malpractice. Served as Alternative Dispute Resolution Coordinator and Small Claims Court Referee.

Responsible for overall financial management of a 350 seat, upscale Italian restaurant. Developed and implemented marketing plans, established and maintained corporate brand, negotiated advertising contracts and vendor agreements. More than doubled sales and profits each year. Achieved profitability in less than six months after start-up.

Advised city attorney on legal issues affecting the City of Grand Forks including eminent domain, ADA, free speech, employee rights, home rule charter, and ethics in government. Drafted ordinances on matters including land use, property rights, personnel, and municipal governance. Served as liaison between elected officials and the city attorney.

Managed the financial aspect of a live music night club. Negotiated artist contracts with local and national acts. Managed daily financial activities as well as setting and managing budgets, supervising employees and other general management responsibilities.

Assisted customers in evaluating their financial portfolios, approved loan applications, trained employees in using bank computer system, and assisted in supervising tellers. Served on bank’s technology committee. Consistently in top 10% of sales, corporate-wide.
