In addition to my responsibilities as a Geosteering Engineer, I’ve been tasked with leading my own team of geosteering engineers. As Lead, I oversee all projects my team is responsible for as well as develop new incoming members. Overseeing all projects has helped me hone my meticulousness. Thus, not allowing anything to fall through the cracks.

I have landed and steered many horizontal wells throughout the United States that include wells in the Hunton, Mississippi, Eagle Ford, Granite Wash, Middle Bakken, Three Forks, Marcellus, and Main Shannon. I performed real-time data analysis for up to 5 rigs per day with Stoner Engineering Software (SES) maintaining up to date geologic interpretations for all stratigraphic wellbore tracking. Communication is essential. Therefore, I always maintained an open line to communicate with all geologists and engineers to discuss the well status. I also prepare daily reports with status updates, snapshots of interpretations, formation updates, and recommended target changes. Prepare end of well reports that summarize activity throughout the wells. Integrated procedures to keep well information organized and readily available upon immediate need.

Rock and Mineral Identification, setup and maintenance of the Bloodhound Gas Detector and MLogger (Red Box), vertical and horizontal log compilation, providing a daily morning report to clients with project status updates and service costs.

Responsible for rock and mineral identification, compiling data from rig activities and lithology, Hydrogen Sulfide abatement/safety, steam flow rate and gas monitoring to maintain compliance with air quality control standards, sensor set up and maintenance, providing a daily morning report to clients with project status updates and service costs, providing wireless internet, desktop computer and cell phone signal booster setup for clients on site. Aided in the decisions to set casing. Collected well water samples for the company geologists. Provided training for new incoming mud loggers. Maintenance included troubleshooting internet and computer complications, splicing or replacing ethernet and power cables, and replacing damaged or malfunctioning sensors. Worked multiple projects throughout California, Nevada, and Utah. Worked with clients such as Ormat, Calpine, Enel, CalEnergy, Nevada Geothermal Power Inc., Sierra Geothermal Power Corp, and Bottle Rock Power.
