At GE Aviation, I was tasked with developing a next generation version of the financial model used for evaluating suppliers. I took ownership of this project and was able to effectively develop a more accurate, efficient and granular financial model. I was given the opportunity to present my completed model and its benefits to the CFO and various other executives. Additionally I co-owned the supplier termination auditing process, to validate the amount owed for completed work.

During my double co-op rotation at Great American, I had the opportunity to improve my business acumen. I performed numerous Sarbanes Oxley audits to ensure SEC compliance; I completed in depth internal audits of multiple business segments; and I provided assistance to teams needing to meet deadlines. As a result of this experience, I gained a strong understanding of accounting principles and how a large company ensures accuracy on their books.

I created and executed activities and skill development programs for 15-25 camp attendees a week. Also, I instructed the students in proper tennis techniques while delivering a fun and exciting experience.

In this position, I collaborated with key members of the account team to develop strategic planning for clients. I effectively employed sales techniques to introduce brokers to potential new products. I was aware of changes in the health care industry and client news which assisted me in generating monthly reports and analyzing health care trends.

I worked alongside a team of 1 to 15 other employees on jobs that can have in excess of 500 cars. I often have had to manage the logistics of parking many cars as well as up to $1000 cash. Since beginning at Sharp's, I have learned how to manage customer relations, large scale logistics, and proper money handling all at once in a fast pace, ever changing environment.

I learned a great deal of important knowledge during my time at Mike's Carwash. My first responsibility was to load customer's vehicles onto the conveyor belt, select their wash choice and monitor the safety within the tunnel. Quickly though, I moved into a sales position. I was responsible for selling directly to the customers, where I sold to nearly 250 a day. I improved my pitch as time went on and consistently met my quota for the highest quality wash. I became more knowledgeable and confident when speaking with and selling to a customer because of my experience at Mike's.
