I recently graduated from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor's in Computer Science. During my time at Virginia Tech, I also participated in many internships, starting with my internship at Chartio. From this internship I learned how to communicate the concepts of an idea in a way that was easy to understand and learn. Next, I participated in a cooperative education program with L3Harris Technologies, where I worked on the testing of Software Defined Radio Waveforms. I learned how to actively participate in team environment and fully engage with my team to maximize the results of my time and effort. One of my key takeaways from this experience is to never be afraid to ask questions. The following summer I again interned with L3Harris. This time I worked with the Cryptographic Subsystem group. I learned a lot about low level hardware and software interactions, as I worked on testing and resolving software issues with the handheld radios. I returned to this same group the next summer and worked on customer facing documentation of new features on the Tactical Key Loader device and participated in hardware discussions and planning. Following my graduation from Virginia Tech, I started a position at Spectric Labs as a Software Engineer working on projects for the defense and intelligence communities.
