From here, I determine whether the business is getting better or worse, and why. This provides the context & insight to plan.•Plan (Where do we want to be? How will we get there?)I create a quantifiable list of challenges & opportunities, establish the business objectives and values, before strategizing the best route to success.Accountability is key, that’s why I establish milestones & responsibilities, ensuring that ownership, deadlines & results are all achieved.With a roadmap to success and a unified team, it’s time to implement.•Implement (Getting the job done - how will we know when we are there?)Analysis and planning are important, but they mean nothing without actual implementation. Plans rarely survive first contact, that’s why progress reporting and continuous review are crucial. Through constant analysis of data, we can evaluate the impact of each solution, creating a dynamic approach to growth.Finally, a ‘business as usual’ plan is put in place, ensuring that getting better is not an event, but a continuous point of daily emphasis. I am always looking to speak to owners, operators and investors of growth-hungry organizations; particularly tech start-ups, financial services or those with disruptive & innovative technology & business models.
