Born and raised in Manhattan, Matthew Lesser joined Leslie J. Garfield & Co. in 2005. In 2014, Matthew was named Senior Partner of the firm. As Managing Director of The Lesser Team, Matthew has led his team to be the premiere townhouse experts within Leslie J. Garfield & Co. that covers Manhattan and Brooklyn. Sloane Mansion at 18 East 68th Street which sold for over $32,000,000.- Brokered the sale of three properties in the Jehovah's Witness Brooklyn Heights portfolio in excess of $175 million.- Set a record for the most expensive Upper West Side single-family townhouse in 2011 at 247 Central Park West for $22,375,000.- Acted as an advisor to the purchaser on 45 John Street which sold for $47,000,000.- Acted as a consultant to the purchaser of 14 Wall Street which sold for $303 million in 2012.- Set the record for the highest price per square foot paid on a West Village townhouse less than 20’-wide, at 41 Charles Street which sold for $14.5 million and $3,474 per/sq. ft.Matthew was a graduate of Trevor Day School in Manhattan and later earned a BS degree from Skidmore College with a Business Management major and an Economics minor. While at Skidmore, Matt played four years of Division III basketball. He remains active in the community as a member of both Friends of Skidmore Athletics and Friends of The President. He currently resides in Scarsdale, New York with his wife Erin and their two children Riley and Jillian.
