Reporting to the Managing Director Smelting the role was responsible for global identification and screening of growth opportunities in new aluminium smelters and leading initial stage studies into selected smelter projects in line with the global growth strategy of the company. The role was originally located in Brisbane and later in Kuching, Malaysia, it had six direct reports and the size of the team would be expanded with specialised resources when performing studies.
