Almost since I first found myself in the marine industry aged 16, I wanted to run my own business in the industry. To this end I aimed to work in as many different yards as possible whilst maintaining my studies at college and then university. After finishing university I worked in a small composites engineering and prototyping company, honing my skills in 3D design, project management and engineering. I started Demon Yachts Ltd in late 2010 with the hugely respected boatbuilder Euan Seel, with the aim of building interesting, fast and beautiful boats and the parts that go with them. We took on all manner of projects together and built a great team of skilled people. We expanded in 2016 and took over the Aldeburgh Boatyard, adding more capability and a great boatyard facility to the company. Sadly Euan passed away very suddenly in 2020 but Demon Yachts still thrives....we have a lot of interesting projects in the pipeline for 2022. New builds of both sailing and electric craft, restorations and racing yacht refit and management are all on the cards for this year. We have skilled craftspeople working in both wood and composites.It may come as no surprise that I love sailing and being on the water....my current addiction is Windsurf foiling, interspersed with sailing a 1895 built half-rater, a classic Dragon and a duck punt!
