I transferred from London to Singapore to help spearhead the detailed strategic development of the Fixed Income & Currencies (FIC) activities in Asia, which is seen as one of the key growth areas. The position involves close liaison with regional management, both within FIC (on the product and the franchise side) and outside, in order to ensure that efforts are coordinated and resources are allocated in the optimal manner to generate value for the bank.In addition to the Asia-specific parts of my role, I retain many of the global strategic responsibilities for the FIC business held in my previous position in London.

Involvement in HR and related process as they are relevant for FIC, as well as all aspects of budgeting and strategic planning for the businesses contained within FIC (FX, bonds, interest rates & EM). Also performed the role of Change Officer for FIC Trading as part of the implementation of the business model for the new Commerzbank.Following the merger between FIC Trading and FIC Sales in August 2013, I continued in this role for the combined business.

Having worked in Risk at DKIB for 6 and a half years, I moved to work with the Head of Capital Markets and his Chief of Staff. In this role, I am responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the Capital Markets business line (c.1,400 staff), with a special focus on risk-related issues.

Having worked on Emerging Market issues for a time, I decided to concentrate my efforts on the Portfolio Analysis part of the role. This was a very interesting position which involved reviewing the entire DKIB risk portfolio with a view to identifying hidden concentrations or potential risk issues. This coincided with the start of the credit crisis, and I spent a substantial amount of time going through DKIB's books identifying subprime exposures and reporting to Management on the results.

Involved in strategic planning for the Bank's Emerging Markets activities from a risk perspective, as well as regular reviews of new EM transactions. In addition, conducting of regular portfolio concentration analyses and reviews of special topics, with a special focus on the trading book.

Co-owner of the HeavenGames LLC online community network, joining when I was at university. I was also the webmaster of a number of sites in the network until I took on my position at Dresdner Kleinwort. Eventually moved on because I didn't have the time to make any meaningful contribution given the requirements of my "real" job.

While at university, I became involved in the running of a number of computer game-related websites in the HeavenGames network. This involved developing and maintaining online communities, as well as ensuring that the sites for which I was responsible were regularly updated with new content. When the group was formally incorporated, I was made a partner in recognition of my contribution, a position which I still hold today.
