This is my fourth rotation as a Computer Engineering Co-op on the Propulsion and Control team at Alstom. This rotation I worked on requirements documentation. I created and updated documents to fit the customers needs. I also ran and updated test procedures to match these requirements on a Real Time Simulator. In addition, I worked on a bugfix for a simulation software that is used to model trains. I updated code to fix an issue that was found on one of the trains and produced test cases to properly test this fix.

This rotation I worked on creating design and requirements documents for different projects. I created these project specific documents using standardized documents. I also tested software according to software test procedure documents. I updated and rebuilt Matlab models for project specific control systems to work on current versions dSPACE and Matlab software. I investigated a new I/O interface for the Rea Time Simulator. This is my second rotation as a co-op at Bombardier. This rotation I spent most of my time upgrading the simulation PC's to newer ones. This involved installing the needed software and migrating old projects to work on this new software. I updated Matlab Simulink models and dSPACE Control Desk Experiments. I also ran safety test procedures for different projects on the real time simulators. This was my first co-op rotation with Bombardier. I worked as a computer engineer in Bombardier Transportation's propulsion division. In my first rotation, I worked with simulation software to run safety test procedures for the drive and vehicle control units. Along with running and testing the software, I had to use a software management application to update the safety requirements and testing procedures. I was also tasked with identifying and solving a networking problem for one of the control systems. Technologies used: - DCUTerm- Real Time Simulator- Intel DOORS requirements management- Serena Dimensions- Portable Test Unit- Wireshark - Ethernet to LON Gateway interfaceResponsibilities included:- Running safety test and procedures for control software on a real time simulator.- Identifying and solving networking issues between control hardware.

Worked as a robot programmer and tester. Our team was focused on creating efficient and simple solutions to palletize products for manufacturing companies. These solutions utilized Universal Robots' UR10 robots along with conveyor systems to provide a collaborative and safe robot palletizing cell. Technologies Utilized: Polyscope, Universal Robots' UR10Responsibilities Included:- Testing robot programs to ensure the robot was able to execute the requested pallet pattern and the rate requirements were met.- Programming robots to palletize products based on customer requirements such as pallet configuration, rate, and box dimensions.
