Bureau of Diplomatic SecurityOffice of Overseas Protective OperationsFacility Protection DivisionServes as security program manager and liaison for Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) special agents, who serve as Regional Security Officers (RSOs) at U.S. embassies and consulates. Provides support, guidance, and best practices on a wide spectrum of security program policies to RSOs managing guard force operations, protective security, technical security, physical security, and surveillance detection programs. Applies knowledge of a wide range of laws, policies, and regulations to enhance overall security program management and operations at U.S. diplomatic missions.Plans and conducts assessments of security program operations to ensure compliance with standards, policies, contract requirements, and evaluates overall contingency and emergency preparedness. Provides RSOs and embassy leadership in‐depth analyses of security programs, emergency preparedness, resource allocation, and provides recommendations for enhancing efficiency through written memorandums and in‐ person briefings. Identifies and presents findings and develops mitigation strategies and solutions on complex obstacles and areas of improvement.
