This new role sees me managing a larger group of companies but within a smaller team, meaning I manage far more systems with more involvement than I previously have. My role covers quite a broad scope so am still very much a jack-of-all-trades. I am responsible for the IT service delivery to about a dozen Companies within the Giltrap Spencer Group and providing support for our ERP/DMS systems to the wider Dealer Network that spans all of NZ I manage the Windows 2008/2012 servers, 7x Exchange 2013 environments, 3x Office 365 Environments, Networking Infrastructure, Veem Backup, Mac/PC clients (hardware & software), Sophos Mail Gateway and Antivirus, ERP/CRM system based on Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Incadea), proprietary Dealer Management System called Extranet and the Warehouse Management Systems in our Logistics company. I am also the primary Engineer on the PABX Phone System that drives all our offices along with 3x Call Centres, called Interactive Intelligence CIC.I am also involved in Project Management from start to finish for most new projects coming in. Examples include the planning and execution of new dealership buildings, setting up and planning of multiple sites at Field Days, working with vendors in rolling out new software solutions such as new ERP/CRM systems, Dealer Management Systems, and the Warehouse Management System.I have also been charged with identifying, planning and refining solutions and processes within the IT Team to maximise and improve service delivery and efficiency.

I make things happen with Technology. It's my responsibility to ensure the Colenso BBDO, Raydar and Porter Novelli Offices can do their job.I'm an Engineer of technology. I look after and maintain many systems and technologies, examples including:* Microsoft Exchange 2010* Active Directory - Windows Server 2008R2* Panasonic PABX* Callista Control Phreak * Sophos Antivirus* Crush FTP* GE Security - TITAN* Security Cameras + DVR* VMWare Fusion + Parallels 8 Virtualisation* Microsoft Office for PC and Mac* PegasusI have been involved in planning and executing office moves from one location to another. I have planned & executed boardroom/meeting room upgrades where we have completely overhauled the A/V technology. I look after the specific needs of our edit suites & studio. I deal with the vendors when a particular issue needs to be escalated. This role has me ensuring a very broad range of technology is maintained and working for all staff.As well as supporting all the technology in the office, I have also become a consultant for our technical campaigns. I have some good knowledge on electrical engineering, interactive technologies, and general hacking/modding, and I have been utilised in some form for several campaigns. Some examples include:* The V Motion Project - consultation on the technology during the initial brief, and I also became the lead technician. This involved me traveling with the V Motion Project (Armageddon AKL expo, Frucor conference, Rhythm & Alps music festival), setting it up, and leading the activation.* TIP TOP Memphis Meltdown - Scream for Ice Cream. This project involved myself and our Technical Director taking an old vending machine, pulling it completely apart and making our own control system for it, then wire it back in to control the dispensing motors. We had to build a system that would dispense an ice cream after a certain decibel level had been reached. We also needed to display the volume level across 5 lights.
