I’m an experienced member of the gas distribution industry in Western Australia with 35 years spent constructing and maintaining gas networks. My progression through the industry has been consistent, from Trainee to Distribution Officer, Leading Hand, Supervisor, Manager, Senior Manager and General Manager.Throughout the last 20 years I have successfully managed the Capital Projects and Operations sections of Western Australia’s largest gas network. I am currently the Senior Operations Manager and I strive to ensure my teams deliver a safe, customer focused, reliable, cost competitive and environmentally sensitive natural gas energy solution.

I undertook this role in addition to my nominal role as Operations Manager and have acted in this capacity since 2005. Significant Projects and Achievements in Role• Became a member of the FERU in 2000. Promoted to FERU Team Leader in 2005.• Developed and implemented Safe Work Instruction for Use of FERU. • Developed and implemented Incident Control Permit and FERU Equipment Safe Work Instructions. • Developed and implemented FERU training material and curriculum in conjunction with training department. • Lead the FERU on numerous gas incidents and effected repairs. -

I was accountable for the development and execution of the Construction Inspection program, ensuring all works and services provided in line with commercial agreements. Significant Projects and Achievements in Role• Project Manager and successful implementation of Project Compass. o Awarded best cost versus risk outcome for the provision of services to install / replace gas mains and services in the Perth Metropolitan and Bunbury areas. The introduction of a new contract model provided the business with the opportunity to drive a competitive tender and selection process to benchmark and score individual contractors. This process also provided the opportunity to reduce the overall number of contract companies and thus reduce the number of interface meetings with contract partners and generate further efficiencies. • Member of the ATCO Gas Australia’s Emergency Management Team (EMT), Emergency Controller roster for the 2011 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM).

Manager Capital ProjectsAlinta / West Net Energy Feb 2005 - Jun 2010In this role I managed the delivery of Capital Projects including High Pressure Pipelines, extensions, alterations, commercial meter sets, and mains replacements in line with the capital works program. I was also accountable for the management of internal and contract work teams and fabrication workshop.Significant Achievements in role include:• Concept, design, costing, contract engagement and construction of High Pressure Steel Pipelines and Meter Sets to supply gas for Path Transit Buses at the O’Conner, Malaga, Karrinyup, Kelmscott, Rockingham and Bayswater Bus Depots.• Concept, design, costing, contract engagement and construction of five Pressure Reduction Stations along High Pressure Pipeline 104 allowing the pressure increase required for the expanding South West Network. • Recruited, trained and monitored contract and internal resources as appropriate with a rapidly increasing capital works program.• Lead role in development of appropriate live gas pipeline weld procedures ensuring this activity is carried out safely.
