I manage elements of the QMS deployed in my department and provide support to shift teams not meeting KPI’s. • As part of COPQ, I own and I am held accountable for complex improvement projects to combat trending customer concerns to ensure the customer perception of our quality is not falling.• Ensure the future line development plans (CAPEX) aligns with quality and performance needs.• Ensure department compliance to ISO9001 and 14001. Own the departmental H&S plan and environmental plan and cascade responsibility of plan elements to management/production team working in my department. • Responsible for the completion of process safety initiatives conducted within the department. • A middle management role leading a multi-skilled team of 44 operators on 2 Hot-Dip Galvanising lines and 2 Colorcoat lines.• Accountable for the shift quality and performance targets. Responsible for complaint root cause analysis (RCA) for my shift and development of corrective action reports (CARS).• Ensure shift teams were investigating and reporting all elements of production loss (time/quality) in line with the QMS. I was responsible for ensuring I had the correct skill availability to countermeasure issues incurred, however on occasions where this was not possible, ensure detailed information was reported for effective timely countermeasure by the day team.• I managed safety through the deployment of the shift H&S plan. Using the plan I could manage and control statutory safety targets and assign shift owners to elements within the plan.• I had responsibility for the shift adherence to the company HR policies and practices. The role involved disciplinary and grievance management, absence reviews, injury investigation and local line union relations. I routinely conducted return to work interviews with team members to ensure their work capability and understand possible issues conducting duties.

This included contractor management (industrial cleaners) and confined space risk assessment and job planning (curing oven cleaning management).• Continually review line RFT, YIELD, SOW, OEE, WAITING TIME. Use pareto analysis to trend issues and report accordingly.
