My role at Fujitsu was to provide second level desktop support, primarily, for the Qantas contract. In this role I worked on all manner of IT equipment from PCs and consumer devices, to specialised printers, and mobile devices.I was part of the more specialised Deployment Team within the contract. Apart from the standard desktop support work, our team was responsible for the pilot and production deployment of software packages. These packages were deployed to 15,000 PCs, in approximately 200 locations, across over 150 applications servers.As an extra part of my role, I was called on to develop scripts and small applications which were used by internal Fujitsu staff to perform extra profit raising services. These are projects and non-catalogue requests such as user account migration, pre-staging of machines, and inventory data collection.

I performed a software engineering role at AfterDark Technology. Focusing mainly in .Net, SQL, and HTML. I developed custom software for businesses ranging from financial managers to registered training organisations.I took care of the entire lifecycle of a project; quoting, proposals, planning, design, implementation, book-keeping, documentation, and support.

Intabill ran an in house developed online payment gateway built with PHP and MySQL. Merchants wishing to process payments through the system had to ‘integrate’ their own systems to be able to send and receive transaction data. Supporting these customers meant having an in depth knowledge of the Intabill system and the ability to troubleshoot PHP, ASP, SQL, and Apache systems.As well as integration support I took care of a large proportion of the desktop support duties including Microsoft domain and exchange administration, security system administration, and hardware support.
