As the lead Process Engineer on various heap leach and milling projects, I am responsible for the safe development and execution of projects from the initial test work and study phases, through to construction and commissioning. At Kinross, I used a strong background of technical knowledge to provide support to daily operations and long term strategic planning in order to optimize gold recovery, mill throughput and reduce operational costs across the company.Select projects include:• Tasiast Gold Mine & Tasiast Sud Project, Inchiri Region, Islamic Republic of Mauritania (2017-2020): Managed the process engineering activities for the feasibility study to debottleneck operations and increase production 50% from 16,000 tpd to 21,000 tpd, with further plans to increase to 24,000 tpd. Studied various scenarios to optimize cash flow from the existing Tasiast dump leach pads. Developed the metallurgical test work program for the satellite Tamaya deposit and managed the engineering design for the associated dump leach pad and CIC facilities.• Fort Knox Gold Mine & Manh Choh Project, Alaska, USA (2019):Developed methods to enhance the solution pH at the Walter Creek and Barnes Creek heap leach facilities by injecting slaked lime slurry directly into the heap leach pad. Advisor for the due diligence on the acquisition of Manh Choh project.

Select projects include:• Metallurgical Accounting & Gold Security Audit, Various Sites (2015-2018): Built a template for the standardization of metallurgical accounting practices within Kinross. Reviewed sampling, measurement, and accounting practices at each site on a rotating basis. Developed action plans with the site team to reduce error and increase transparency at each operation. Worked with the Global Security team to determine high-risk areas for potential gold theft within the plant and implemented corrective actions to reduce the risks.• Round Mountain & Bald Mountain Gold Mines, Nevada, USA (2016-2017): Instrumental in the development of a vertical carbon-in-column (VCIC) plant. The project significantly reduced the footprint and capital costs for heap leach projects vs traditional carbon-in-column (CIC) plants by stacking each stage of carbon adsorption into a single column. Constructed a metallurgical accounting system for the measurement of loaded and barren carbon transferred between the Bald Mountain, Round Mountain, and Barrick Goldstrike gold mines. Managed the metallurgical test work programs and process engineering for both the Round Mountain Phase W and Bald Mountain Vantage Complex feasibly studies, heap leach pad and VCIC plants.• Maricunga Gold Mine & Lobo-Marte Project, Atacama Region, Chile (2013): Scoped the inclusion of a SART plant for Lobo-Marte, used to produce copper-sulphate and recycle free cyanide in a gold heap leach operation, and agglomeration of the heap leach feed to improve percolation rates.

Process Engineer with experience on gold, copper/molybdenum and nickel projects working on both design and construction phases. My primary expertise is in mineral processing technology with major roles in communition, classification, flotation, dewatering and gold extraction circuits. I have also have also worked as a part of the engineering management team on several projects as well as managed engineering activities for the expansion of an on-site metallurgical laboratory. Secondment to work with Barrick Gold at their Goldstrike operation in Nevada, USA. Working as a Metallurgist in the processing plant, I was tasked to identify where improvements in safety and production could be made in the design. I also worked to implement a pilot test program for a flash flotation cell, examine contingency plans for extended SAG mill downtime, as well as investigate alternative fuel sources for an ore roasting operation.
