I served as an Undergraduate Research Intern at the Center for Growth and Opportunity (CGO) where on a daily basis, I research public policy and economics under the leadership of senior scholars and contribute to academic papers. I assist with research on various federal and state policies, as well as environmental policy and management issues.

I worked as an intern gathering environmental policy and information on Cache County and cities and towns inside Cache County for a research project. I spent large amounts of time consulting and establishing relationships with city managers, city councils, and other Cache County officials while also analyzing and documenting local city and county environmental policies. Throughout this internship, I crafted a 100-page report detailing and analyzing the environmental policies I have found.

Assisted the dining room manager in running the day-to-day operations of the dining room. Also, I responded to customer concerns and complaints and trained new employees. I was the go-to leader for other employees during daily shifts as well. I worked in this position full-time during the Covid-19 Pandemic and continued as a full-time employee for almost five months while I also finished my last semester of high school online.

Worked with the POS system to place orders, manage bills, and handle food for customers. I also served food to residents of the facility on a day-to-day basis.

I worked this job in two different summers where I spent time selling microgreens and produce at local farmer’s markets. I learned sales skills and customer communication to effectively sell produce. I also spent time packaging, harvesting crops, and keeping up with the daily maintenance of the farm.
