About Matthew Mcstea
As a bioprocessing scientist at MeiraGTx, a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company developing and manufacturing gene therapy products, I have made widespread contributions to many aspects of manufacturing production, from aseptic processing and continuous improvement activities to authoring investigations and material procurement.As an undergraduate I enjoyed developing my understanding of the mechanisms and interactions of life at the genetic, molecular and cellular levels, then during my Master's I pursued my research project in the lab of Dr Emma Thomson, identifying and characterising interactions between proteins associated with the human RNA exosome complex.My degree has provided me with the knowledge and lab experience for me to now feel confident to step into the scientific community and industries of bioscience.I am excited to see what the future holds.
