CAST brought me in to help develop the Catalyst digital network of non-profits. We knew the success of the initiative depended on relationships at every level. I led on this from big picture culture design right down to the smallest interactions between people - optimising for equitable, positive and productive relationships throughout.

I led on the proposition for Sharecare (now On Hand) a peer community platform to put carers together with clients. I pitched this successfully to investors and On Hand later went on to be one of six startups in the inaugural Facebook Accelerator programme and has investment from all five dragons on the BBC show Dragon's Den. Woohoo!I remain involved as a Fellow of the The Good Lab

I was awarded this Fellowship, funded by Friends Provident Foundation, to focus on a theme of social change and economic resilience. I carried out a wide range of R&D into the ways we're increasingly hindered from experiencing small but meaningful encounters with each other as well as the impact this has on our wellbeing whilst perpetuating our unsustainable mindset of 'having'. In response I developed a service/systems design approach, Deepr, that puts relationships at the centre of design solutions to rehumanise our services. Based on the simple principle of bringing user equality, autonomy and attention to design solutions, Deepr design results in wellbeing benefits for users, mindset shift for society and crucially, substantial commercial benefits for clients.This is outlined in the paper below.

I took a break from my Fellowship with Clore to take up this fixed term role to lead the design and development of two digital products to scale Clore’s operations and impact. I remain involved as a digital advisor and design consultant.

It's a flourishing network of thousands of freelancers, micro businesses, corporates like Google, government departments and local charities.Echo's key innovation is that business users trade using a time currency - every hour of service delivered (no matter what) is valued at one Echo. Alongside commercial benefits, Echo creates the type of business relationships that money can't buy with users also developing wellbeing and mindset shift towards a more sustainable future.In 2015 I launched Echo++, an accelerator programme run by and for local businesses, all paid for using the Echo currency. It's gone from strength to strength, providing the main revenue stream for the organisation.

This reduces the need for ‘ownership’, and turns downtime into uptime.
