This will change as the position evolves, but my typical duties involve:• Perform and complete facility plant checks, process control, process control sampling, andrecord pertinent data, maintain an onsite log and monthly reports of operations and maintenance.• Supervise the daily operations and maintenance of the District wells, pump stations, tanks, watertreatment facilities, and utility locates.• Supervise personnel within the Water Treatment and Distribution Division.• Perform maintenance on District equipment and infrastructure.• Respond to customer water quality complaints or concerns.• Oversee or support construction meter/backflow prevention assembly program.• Set the parameters for and oversee the operation of the SCADA system related to the watertreatment and distribution systems.• Order required and necessary treatment chemicals, parts and supplies.• Update and maintain the District monitoring plan.• Ensure all scheduled sampling is satisfied, per assigned CDPHE monitoring schedule.• Update and maintain the Finished Water Storage Inspection Plan, including scheduling anddocumenting periodic and comprehensive inspections as required by CDPHE.• Respond to changes or additional requested requirements from CDPHE.• Prepare, submit and distribute the annual Consumer Confidence Report.• Review and update the Written Operation Plan, including a delegation of tasks and standardoperation procedures as defined in Regulation 100.• Prepare the District for and represent the District in the Sanitary Survey - every 3 years.• Attend District leadership, safety and public Board meetings.• Report to General Manager and District Superintendent as directed.• Attend or participate in CDPHE Stakeholder meetings.• Ability to be on-call and provide 24-hour emergency response for facilities and systems.• Must be willing to work overtime, holidays and weekends, if necessary.

- Took part in the $43 million upgrade of Cherokee's 4.8 MGD Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) from a Sequencing Batch Reactor process to a Membrane Bioreactor with Reverse Osmosis on the back for TDS control.- Evolved and refined the laboratory's QA program, chemical inventory tracking, documentation, and processes to assure the best quality water was re-entering the environment from our process. Directly responsible for the WRF's passing 2022 and 2023 DMR-QA results.- Achieved my lifelong dream of becoming a certified 'Double A' operator in Water and Wastewater Treatment!

- Assured top-quality water from our 21+ well production field and 5 ground storage tanks for Cherokee's 25,000 connections.- Assisted our distribution, district, and collection teams with routine duties such as hydrant maintenance and cut-offs for delinquent customers.- Developed the documentation, workflow, and processes as the initial Quality Assurance analyst for Cherokee's state-accredited laboratory. Trained and mentored staff as they started being assigned to the lab.

- Serve as primary analyst for BOD/CBOD in a NELAP-accredited lab, with back-up responsibilities for field collection of total coliform routine sampling within the system.- M-F with rotating on-call for any required SSO or line break Bacti testing required.- Responsible for Watershed monitoring of Lake Waco and the Bosque and Brazos rivers through the city.- Responsible for coordination of the city's Lead and Copper monitoring as additional water quality parameter monitoring.

- Conducted routine plant monitoring, operations, and maintenance at the 100 MGD Central treatment plant in the WMARSS system. Occasionally I would be responsible for operations and maintenance on the 5 MGD Bullhide Creek treatment plant.- Proficient with both Chlorine and UV disinfection, step-feed advanced activated sludge, aerobic and anaerobic digesters, and disc and sand filters for tertiary treatment.- Routine use of our industrial receiving station, lagoons, and dryer building.- Frequently responsible for production of land-applicable dried sludge and loading it via silo or 'manually' with backhoe.- Trained in confined space entry.- Obtained Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement from Tx DPS. Proficient with fork lift and backhoe. Trained on excavator, but don't consider myself proficient.

- Performed all field sampling and regulatory testing for the city's three (3) wastewater treatment facilities and up to nine (9) satellite treatment facilities.- Assisted in DMR preparation.- Adept at SOP revision process.- Spearheaded changeover from ISE probe NH3 analysis to the Vapodest rapid distillation analyzer.- In Pretreatment, performed enforcement on our six (6) Categorical users.- Oversaw the FOG program which covered the grease interceptors at over 200 businesses.- Promoted Mercury awareness and recycling at elementary and middle schools as 'Captain Mercury.'- Held LDEQ Wastewater Collection 4, Wastewater Treatment 4, and Water Production and Water Treatment 1 licenses.
