During my 6 contracts with Princess Cruises I have carried out various job roles whilst working within the pursers department, these include but are not limited to; Administration Officer, Front Desk Supervisor, Assistant Crew Manager, Night Manager, Senior Shore Excursion Staff and Front Desk JAP. These tasks required me to have wide knowledge of the company’s products, policies & procedures as well as being required to learn the constantly changing information for the ports of call visited around the world. Coming from a strong customer service focused background allows me to deliver the highest levels of service to the passengers throughout every interaction, also my time in management and having spent time training staff both at sea and on land allows me to help develop the junior members of the team by giving support and providing on the job training and ideas to help them in their daily tasks. My skills and knowledge allows me to provide solid support also to the managers above me allowing them to rely on me for assistance whenever required.

Responsible for the day to day running of the reception department and the hotel during my shifts as duty manager. I was in charge of all receptionists and night manager, and liaised directly with the General Manager to take handover and daily business proceedings. I first started in the hotel as the hall porter and worked my way up through the company showing great professionalism and passion in all aspects of my work gaining vast amounts of knowledge and expertise within the hospitality industry which gained me the position of reception manager.During my employment at Barnsley House I spent time within other departments to further my understanding of other operations inside the industry including housekeeping, wedding, conference & banqueting, spa reception and I have also spent time running & managing the pub owned by the company. Some of my duties included producing staff rota’s, cashing up procedures and company finances, room & restaurant reservations and enquiries, guest relations, account management, complaint handling, staff training and appraisals also conducting interviews with potential job applicants.
