About Matthew Moak

First off I would like to thank you for this opportunity and for taking the time to review my application. I am currently unemployed and available to start work at any time, and have no restrictions on day to day availability. Every single job I have had since I started working at 17 has been in the customer service field, I currently have 10+ years customer service oriented jobs under my belt. I am currently looking to branch out into less of a job and more of a career in any field. I feel that over the years of working has taught me a great deal about myself and helping others. Especially in team based environments, I feel that I excel. I am very good at balancing getting my own responsibilities completed while taking time to help others complete their tasks. I consider myself to be a very hard worker, a smart worker, very approachable, and personable. I get along with most if not all co-workers, I believe in having fun while working to make the most out of time at work, and to help co-workers morale. I always aim to impress and excel in whatever job or task I embark on, and take pride in what I accomplish. I have never come across a task or job that I couldn't complete. I have always been given tasks over others, because my superiors knew I could get it done right the first time. I am very tech savvy and pick up on computer systems fast. I am very familiar with a wide array of programs including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. I am a very strong listener as well as a fast learner, I am also not afraid to ask questions to ensure that I am doing my job correctly and efficiently. I gladly welcome any challenge and think that I can fit into any line of work. I am confident that i can do any job correctly and above average.

Matthew Moak Work Experience Details
  • Laurel Auto Group
    Assistant Service Manager
Laurel Auto Group May 2016 - Oct 2017
At Laurel Toyota I was a sales associate that acted as a mediator between the consumer and service technicians. It was my responsibility to explain complicated mechanical work in a way that anyone can understand, and explain the value of the service work that was performed or upsold. I was also responsible for making sure all customer concerns are properly addressed and properly expressed to the service technician, so that all customers receive the service they need and expect to be completed. Working at Laurel I have seen what it is like to work for a big organization that owns multiple dealerships. I have learned a lot about being a good team member and fulfilling my specific role within a team. Working at a larger dealer taught me how to adapt to a faster work environment while still maintaining a standard of excellence, valuable skills for multitasking, and prioritization of tasks in the workplace.
  • Team Kia
    Service Consultant
    Team Kia Apr 2014 - May 2016
My responsibilities at Team Kia service department include but are not limited to greeting customers when they arrive, making them feel welcome when they come to our dealership to have their vehicle worked on. As well as writing up customers request into a repair order for the mechanics to know what services and concerns are to be addressed. I worked closely with technicians to recommend different services as per factory maintenance schedules, and recommend services based on vehicle condition at time of service. Other tasks included tuning a repair order into a final bill, writing Pennsylvania state inspection stickers, preparing end of day deposit and paperwork, delegating service work to different mechanics based on the work and their skill set and etc. Team Kia taught me a lot more about customer service and customer satisfaction from a different perspective. Being in an environment where every customer gets a survey after every service has been a crucial learning experience that fundamentally changed the way I interact with customers and issues they have. I have learned how imperative it is to maintain customer satisfaction and customer service to ensure we have customers returning for business.
  • Advance Auto Parts
    Retail Parts Pro (Manager)
Advance Auto Parts Jul 2011 - Apr 2014
At Advance Auto Parts I had multiple responsibilities as a manager. My primary job was to manage my coworkers and ensure that all sales goals were met, make sure that all tasks are completed correctly and in a timely manner, and to coach team members how to properly do their job. Prior to management i was the stores inventory management specialist, I was in charge of all the inventory at the store. The inventory position has taught me how to prioritize tasks, meet a deadline each week, and perform inventory counts, reorganize inventory to rotate in new products, and maintain inventory excellence to reduce negative shrink. Working at Advance Auto in a management position has taught me a lot about customer satisfaction, coaching team members, organizing priorities, sales tactics and responsibility for the well being of a retail environment.
  • Murieta Plaza Foods - Est 1987
    Senior Customer Service Representative
    Murieta Plaza Foods - Est 1987 Jan 2009 - Mar 2011
At Plaza Foods I started out as just a courtesy clerk, and was responsible for giving excellent customer service by assisting customers by bagging their groceries and helping them out to their cars. I was quickly given a promotion to cashier where I was in charge of handling money, providing satisfactory service, connecting to the customer for short periods of time, among other tasks. At times I worked a shift where I was responsible for maintaining inventory in the dairy isle, walk in milk fridge, and walk-in freezer. I would organize all items and rotate according to dates to ensure there were no out of date products and that products would sell before their expiration. Other jobs included using a cardboard baler, stocking shelves, organizing grocery back-stock, cleaning whenever necessary, and numerous other job duties. I used a pallet jack almost daily, and moved items over 50lbs constantly. I also learned a great deal about the grocery business, rotating product, resetting shelves, managing inventory, and overall customer satisfaction.
