Feb 2006 to Feb 2009 (Note that this overlaps with my next role, I was promoted whilst on the course)This is National Grid’s Engineering Trainee scheme. It is a 3-year training scheme, leading to many different qualifications including a Foundation Degree in Power Engineering (FdEng), NEBOSH certificate, and Authorised Person status. Subsequently, I also gained Senior Authorised Person status. Whilst on the scheme, I won National Grid’s Trainee Engineer of the Year.
