I am employed by this cabinetmaking/kitchen company as General Manager of Manufacturing. Stewart Scott is one of the largest kitchen manufacturing companies in New Zealand. We have 3 separate divisions called Inside Vision, retail high-end kitchens, our core business is our trade division dealing with builders and large building companies.My role includes human resources including motivation, human resources, setting budgets and sales, managing processes, logistics, and manufacturing. I advise and prepare reports, advise and present to the Advisory Board (Board of Directors). One of my strengths is streamlining company systems and introducing LEAN processes to ensure maximum profits. When I joined this company, the structure in the factory and production processes needed to be overhauled which was my first focus.

After closing my company I am employed by the Southern Hospitality Group in this role. I was attracted to this role as the parent company offers huge growth opportunities with internal promotion. Project Joinery specialises in large fit outs including bars, restaurants and retail stores. We also own ‘The Woodman’ brand and create our own timber benchtops and timber work in-house.One of my strengths is financial management and reading architectural plans, I am currently estimating approximately $1 million per month. Working in this role has been interesting but not challenging enough for me.My duties include:• Assisting the company to achieve sales targets by forecasting budgets and capacities.• Receiving architectural plans from a team of 150 reps. Reading through plans and clarifying any questions and specifications.• Working on and creating excel sheets for pricing and reporting purposes. • Creating detailed quotations for our customers• Compiling quotes for stone benchtops, timberwork and stainless componentry.• Estimating labour component of work, delivery and installation costs.
