Previously employed as a Senior Claims Specialist at Everest National Insurance Company responsible for reviewing and analyzing complex coverage issues, investigating liability & damages, retaining & managing outside counsel and TPAs, setting case reserves, executing claim & resolution strategies, and interfacing with underwriters, actuaries, insureds and brokers.Previously as a Senior Assistant Somerset County Prosecutor. Trial Team Leader. Supervisor of County Burglary Task Force Unit. Supervisor of Collision Investigation Team on all fatal and near-fatal vehicular collisions. Case assignments & investigations included deaths, serious bodily injuries, property loss & destruction arising from negligent or reckless operation of automobiles, trucks & motorcycles, that frequently involved the use of alcohol, prescription medication, street drugs, or a combination thereof. I am also an experienced Trial and Appellate attorney with decades of experience representing the State of New Jersey in the Superior Court, Appellate Division, Supreme Court, and U.S. District Court of NJ. I have supervised thousands of investigations, analyzed thousands of cases for criminal & civil forfeiture liability, negotiated 500+ settlements/guilty pleas, and tried more than sixty-five cases to jury verdicts in the Superior Court. Trials typically included the retention & use of expert witnesses. I have taught law courses at the New Jersey State Police Academy and Somerset County Police Academy, and appeared as a guest lecturer at the County Prosecutor’s Association Convention.My most rewarding career experience has been the recognition, twice-received, at MADD-NJ Annual Convention honoring law enforcement for my advocacy on behalf of victims, victim-survivors, and those who lost loved ones to DWI/vehicular homicides.
