As part of the Employee Benefits Team, I maintain and develop new relationships with current and future clients of Cleary Insurance. By obtaining relevant data and industry benchmarking, I am able to present our clients with benefit strategies tailored to their specific needs. Through our experience working together, as well as individually, our team is able to inform clients of short and long term implications of their benefit programs to mitigate risk and prepare for the future. By examining each client’s industry we are able to keep them informed on the most up to date analysis of their competitors benefit offerings, which allows them to make the appropriate decisions for their company to maintain a strong and competent workforce.In addition to assisting with long term benefit strategies we are constantly educating ourselves to ensure we are keeping our clients in compliance with Federal and State Healthcare legislation, primarily focusing on changes associated with the Affordable Care Act. We are keeping all of our varying-sized employers up to date on all pertinent changes in order to avoid penalties and the fees associated with them. Feedback from our clients has given us the tools we need to address their most pressing issues and alleviate some of the stress and misconceptions that go along with being a business owner in this volatile and changing environment.Day to day activities include assisting our clients with the questions that arise in regards to their employees’ benefits, COBRA administration, Human Resource inquiries, as well as any other issue that falls under our umbrella of services. As an Account Manager at NorthStar Insurance Services Inc. I worked with clients to develop benefit strategies that were appropriate based on their specific needs. I was responsible for renewals and preparing presentations to clients in order to help them understand their benefit options and educate them on plan designs and contribution strategies. I also sent out monthly newsletters to all clients to keep them up to date on Healthcare Reform. As part of the Human Resources team for Northstar my duties involved new hire orientation and enrollment, COBRA administration and all other day to day tasks that went along with this position.

As a Participant Service Representative I assisted employees in understanding and enrolling in their benefits and 401k plans. Our clients consisted of some of the largest corporations in the country and we assisted them as their outsourced HR solution. Our goal was to educate their workforce and help them to make informed decisions and assist them allocate their employers Defined Contribution appropriately. This position also required me to have daily interactions with employees and carrier reps to offer solutions, in a timely fashion, to any problems the employees encountered in regards to their benefits, including their 401k and/or pension plans.
