I'm an experienced and passionate aquatic biologist with diverse experience in environmental consulting across the northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Alaska. Over the years I have gained a comprehensive understanding of fish, water quality, habitat and flow relationships, and freshwater mussels. My experience has provided me with an understanding of the effects of a broad range of activities (e.g., hydroelectric, municipal infrastructure, etc.) on the aquatic environment and the communities that exist within them. I am passionate about finding a balance between human needs and protecting the environment.I have led numerous studies and have experience working as part of an interdisciplinary team. My current position involves a healthy balance of field work and office work, including executing field studies, proposal and report preparation, client liaison, and discussions with agency staff (NYSDEC, USFWS, etc.).My enthusiasm for aquatic work stems from a lifelong passion for the sustainability and conservation of fish and aquatic ecosystems. Outside of the workplace I express this passion through fly fishing and river restoration volunteer work.
