- Acquire knowledge of fundamental concepts of series, parallel, and combination circuits as they applied to DC side of photovoltaic systems. - Operate specialty equipment including Solmetric1000-S IV curve tracer, Fluke 437-II 400 Hz Three-Phase Power Quality and Energy Analyzer, Fluke 376 True-RMS AC/DC Clamp Meter, Fluke T5-100, FLIR E40 thermal imager, Fluke 9040 phase rotation indicator - Evaluate issues with inverters through troubleshooting diagnostics and resolve issues by communicating with technical team on troubleshooting steps, and warranty work specifications if out of commission. - Install and repair over 500 kilo-watts of medium/ heavy residential commercial, and industrial photovoltaic systems from California Border Patrol in San Diego to The French Laundry in Napa Valley. - Supervise team, which is responsible for commissioning a 19 mega-watt photovoltaic system in Fort Hood, TX. Instruct and manage team in basic operation of electrical equipment used to complete IV tracing, VOC/Polarity Checks, IMP current checks, and thermal imaging. Collect information out in the field and create hand-over packages providing proof of proper workmanship for banks to release TCO.
