Expert in creating, optimizing and tuning mathematical models and control systems for vessels, utilizing PID controls and Kalman filter algorithms implemented in C++, running in RTOS (Real Time Operating Systems) microcontrollers and maintained with industry standard version control tools (TFS / VSS/ GIT).Serve as a principal point of contact between the company and engineering leaders from client companies to provide excellent assistance with complex technical issues in addition to design advice.Develop, modify and test customized software functionalities to improve reliability and performance of offshore installations.Train new hires and assist colleagues in design, installation, and troubleshooting techniques of complex control systems.Train customers in the operation of on-board equipment.Participate in technical conferences and workshops to create safer and reliable solutions to problems related to vessel control and sensor interfacing.Create and test interfaces between Dynamic Positioning systems and peripheral devices using RS232, RS422, analog (4-20mA, -10 +10V) and TCP/IP.Deliver customer support Participate in FMEA (Failure Mode Effects Analysis) testing of offshore installations and write Root Cause Analysis reports.
