Met critical objectives of securing federal and other matching funds for the continued dredging of the harbor through direct lobbying of federal, state and local elected officials; increased public awareness of the port's economic significance through organized education and awareness programs through the tri-state region, and strengthening the port's economic presence through strategic collaboration with port businesses, organized labor, trade and commerce associations and higher education institutions.
