During my career I have developed exceptional communication skills by working for many different organisations within the housing sector. I have therefore experience of working in often stressful environments where priorities are changing. As a highly motivated and successful housing officer I have an in depth experience of lettings, estate management, neighbour nuisance as well as managing conflict and negotiating positive outcomes including dealing effectively with complaints. I have also held positions where I have had experience of recruiting and managing people and been responsible for budgets and developing strategy especially with regard to community development and tenant participation. When working in regeneration I havebeen at the forefront of developing engagement techniques and systems to deliver grass roots community development in deprived areas as well as working with young people.I am customer focussed and can work individually and collectively as part of a team. I have also experience in working with the media when promoting projects .I have also experience of giving presentations.I have a great deal of experience of networking and forming partnerships with especially in regeneration where projects often benefitted from additional resources and funding from other specialist organisations.I have in recent times worked as a support officer to ex offenders who have just been released from prison, developing support plans to work with service users to allow them to move on in their lives.I am now seeking a full time employment opportunity, ideally in a housing management or community development role, being open to other work environments, willing to undertake any new or additional training necessary in order to achieve this career goal.
